descrierea proiectului
Obiectivul proiectului CLIMEWAR este de a evalua impactul schimbarilor climatice asupra climatului de val din viitor in sistemul marin format de Marea Neagra si Marea Mediterana. Va fi generat un ansamblu multi-model si multi-scenarii al proiectiilor climatului de val din sistemul marin din ultimii 60 de ani ai secolului 21 pe baza rezultatelor modelului SWAN (Simularea WAves Nearshore) fortat cu diferite modele climatice regionale (RCMs) fortate cu diferite conditii de frontiera si tinand cont de scenariile RCP si SSP. Impactul potential al schimbarilor climatice asupra viitoarelor conditii de val este estimat prin comparatii intre climatul prezent (1976-2005) si cel viitor. Conditiile de val din prezent vor fi comparate cu observatii si simulari hindcast de incredere. Incertitudinile asociate schimbarilor climatului de val vor fi identificate si cuantificate. Presupunand ca proprietatile statistice ale erorilor din climatul prezent vor fi mentinute in viitor, se vor aplica metode de corectare a acestora pentru a genera un ansamblu corectat ale proiectiilor climatice de val. Vor fi evaluate modificarile valorilor medii (anuale, sezoniere, lunare), ale valorilor extreme, precum si variabilitatea si tendintele principalilor parametri de val din ambele bazine. Analiza valorilor extreme va fi efectuată in diferite locatii cheie.
Obiective
Obiectivul general al proiectului CLIMEWAR este de a explora climatul de val din viitor in Marea Mediterana si Marea Neagra folosind un ansamblu de proiectii climatice ale valurilor capabil sa evidentieze suficient incertitudinea asociata cu proiectarea climatului de val din viitor si totodata sa se evalueze impactul schimbarilor climatice asupra conditiilor mării prin comparatii cu climatul de val actual.
- O1: Generarea unui ansamblu din mai multe modele si scenarii ale proiectiilor climatice ale valurilor din sistemul marin in ultimii 60 de ani ai secolului 21, bazat pe rezultatele furnizate de modelul SWAN fortat cu cel putin trei RCM-uri care au utilizat conditii de frontiera de la diferite CGM-uri, considerand trei scenarii de emisie din CMIP5 si CMIP6.
- O2: Evaluarea impactului schimbarilor climatice asupra conditiilor de val din viitor prin realizarea de comparatii cu climatul de val actual obtinut pentru un interval de timp de 30 de ani care acopera perioada istorica de referintă 1976-2005.
- O3: Generarea unui ansamblu corectat al proiectiilor climatice ale valurilor pana la sfarsitul acestui secol pentru fiecare scenariu considera. O4: Dezvoltarea unei noi baze de date de inalta rezolutie care sa contina campurile principalilor parametri de val si vitezele vantului pentru intervalele de timp luate in considerare (perioada istorica 1976-2005 si perioada din viitor 2041-2100), precum si energia valurilor.
- O5: Estimarea modificarilor viitoare ale valorilor medii si extreme ale principalilor parametri de val din ambele bazine, precum si variabilitatea si modificarile acestora pe termen mediu;
- O6: Evaluarea dinamicii costiere sub impactul schimbarilor climatice;
- O7: Estimarea posibilelor modificari ale parametrilor principali ai valurilor de-a lungul principalelor rute maritime;
- O8: Evaluarea evolutiei potentialului energiei valurilor, oferind astfel informatii utile pentru utilizatorii finali in luarea deciziilor si planificarea locatiilor de explorare a resurselor.
- O9: Dezvoltarea unei platforme de calcul in MATLAB cu rezultate numerice si grafice pentru o evaluare rapida a climatului de val prezent si viitor (WAve Climate Assessment - WACA).

Rezultate
La finalul acestui proiect ne propunem să aducem valoare adăugată cunoștințelor privind climatul marin din ambele mări prin contribuția semnificativă realizată în diferite moduri:
- 1) Îmbunătățirea calității informațiilor existente despre valuri pentru a fi utilizate în cercetarea climatică, printr-un proces de corectare;
- 2) Evaluarea modului în care s-au schimbat de-a lungul timpului condițiile de vânt și val din zonele țintă și, de asemenea, cum este posibil să evolueze în viitor schimbarea acestora și explorarea relației dintre aceste două variabile climatice;
- 3) Evaluarea schimbărilor utilizând un ansamblu de proiecții climatice ale valurilor;
- 4) Realizarea unui ansamblu model și evaluarea contribuției diferitelor surse de incertitudine la incertitudinea totală asociată proiecțiilor climatice din mediul marin;
- 5) Evaluarea impactului schimbărilor climatice asupra potențialului energiei valurilor;
- 6) Cercetarea variabilității și tendințelor parametrilor de val extremi la diferite scări de timp.
- 7) Proiectii privind eventualele modificari a rutelor maritime di Marea Neagra.
